Michel Duquesnoy's profile

Urban art and murals from Chile (part 1)

In Chile, mural painting is part of the urban landscape (but also in rural areas). The artists use all imaginable supports: concrete, adobe or brick walls, metal plates, wooden doors, etc. Most have a symbolic message, encrypted or not.The chromatic is most of the time very beautiful, strong in contrasts.

This series has no other claim than to share with you what these drawings, true works of art in my opinion, bring to urban art.

These murals measure on average 150 X 300 (sometimes more).

All these photos were taken with a smart phone, during my comings and goings in Chilean territory or during my walks in the city of Santiago.

Thank you for your attention and understanding.
